We’ve Got You Foundation is a community charity committed to helping people of all ages who need help getting to essential medical appointments. We believe nobody should have to miss vital healthcare simply because they cannot afford to get there.

For people living in remote areas such as Bauple and surrounding districts, accessing specialist medical care can be especially difficult. Chemotherapy is not currently offered in Maryborough, meaning some patients must travel to Brisbane or Hervey Bay for treatment. A return trip to Brisbane with a local transport company can cost approximately $1,200, placing an enormous financial burden on individuals and families already dealing with serious health challenges. Without government-funded transport or the ability to pay privately, some people have very limited options for getting to treatment.

We work alongside transport providers including Health Cab & Co, St John Ambulance, Aitkinson Shuttle and A1 Transport to help connect people with suitable transport solutions. Through these partnerships, we aim to support those who might otherwise have no way of reaching essential healthcare. We invite the community to support our fundraiser with a High Tea at the Waterfront Restaurant on November 15, from 1pm to 3pm. Tickets are $55, and details can be found on the We’ve Got You Foundation Facebook Page. Funds raised will help us continue assisting people who need medical transport but cannot afford the costs themselves.

Taking Care of Business, One Set of Books at a Time

Having lived in Hervey Bay for 28 years, I understand the financial challenges faced by local business owners. My experience includes working in accounting practices, operating Tax Store Hervey Bay for five years, managing the bookkeeping for my husband’s trade business, as well as Nurse Next Door Fraser Coast. This experience inspired me to establish Trade Care Books, a personalised remote bookkeeping service supporting tradies, NDIS providers, aged care businesses and small businesses. My passion is helping business owners spend less time managing paperwork. I offer bookkeeping, payroll support and assistance with BAS preparation, using Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks. I pride myself on providing a friendly, reliable and personalised service tailored to each business’s individual needs.
