Hello, I’m Mark Evans, owner of Mark’s Jewellery Workshop.

Although my studio has operated in Hervey Bay for only eight months, my connection with the Fraser Coast dates back to 1999, when I started working with Beresfords Jewellers in Maryborough.

After a relatively short stint there, I decided it was the right time to open my own studio. I initially focused on jewellery repairs, remodelling and creating pieces for clients before branching out into jewellery for sale.

The original shop was quite small, so eventually we moved into much larger premises on Kent Street. That’s when Mark Evans Fine Jewellery was born.

In 2006, we headed to the Sunshine Coast and started all over again. After 16 years on the Coast though, I decided it was time to slow down a little. So here I am, back in the Bay — and loving it.

I’ve now been a jeweller for 47 years, a milestone I reached in September. When I decided to open Mark’s Jewellery Workshop, I wanted this new venture to take me back to the way I started out in Maryborough in 2001 — offering a more personal service and doing what I love.

At Mark’s Jewellery Workshop, I complete all work on the premises. That means your precious and sentimental jewellery stays safely with me, while also allowing me to offer a relatively short turnaround time from when your piece is booked in to when it is ready to collect.

Whether you have a treasured piece in need of repair, jewellery you would like remodelled, or an idea for something completely new, I’m always happy to sit down and talk through the possibilities.
