By Kellie Roussounis – Owner of Kallos Aesthetics
I didn’t open Kàllos because I wanted to run a business. I opened it because I wanted to build something that actually felt like me.
I started my nursing journey back in 2016 as a student, graduated in 2018, and spent the next six years working in surgical wards and theatre. I’m proud of every bit of that experience; it shaped me as a clinician and taught me what real patient care looks like. But after a while, I had to be honest with myself. The hospital system wasn’t where my future was anymore.
I wanted something of my own. A space where I could combine everything I’d learned with my genuine love for helping people feel confident and comfortable in their own skin. In December 2024, it became Kàllos Aesthetics here in Hervey Bay, and I won’t pretend it was easy. Building a clinic from the ground up while raising four kids with my partner was a lot. There were late nights, hard decisions, and plenty of moments when I wondered if we were crazy. But we kept going because we wanted to prove to ourselves and our children that hard work and self-belief really do pay off.
Since opening, I’ve completely fallen in love with this community. The trust my clients place in me every single day means more than I can put into words.
I offer anti-wrinkle treatments, volume-enhancing treatments, skin needling, skin boosters, and our own locally made plant-based skincare range, but honestly, the treatments are only part of it.
What I love most is the relationships. The conversations and being part of someone’s journey toward feeling like themselves again.
