For good health, much emphasis is put on having a regular program of multi component physical activity, especially as we get older. Even a small amount of exercise can greatly reduce the possibility of developing diseases such as diabetes, stroke, some cancers and heart problems.
It can also help your general mental health, anxiety, functional balance to prevent falls, reducing body weight and increasing well-being.
Some recommendations that can be done at any level of skill are simply walking each day, doing stretching exercises, using weights in strength training, swimming, skipping rope, climbing stairs … in fact, physical activity of any intensity will actually improve your health by getting those toxins to move about!
As a nod to having a wardrobe suitable for sports and exercise, this month we are featuring a range of fun outfits to set you on the path to fashion combined with comfort in activewear.
