Jared is a member of the Fraser Coast community and has dedicated his time to assisting community members with new jobs, showcasing our region and organising events for people to seek jobs matched to their passion. He is also a talented DJ bringing fun to the lives of people who live and visit the Fraser Coast.

One night after having a great time out with some mates, the unthinkable happened! As he was leaving a local establishment an incident occurred that changed his life forever.

Listening to the extent of his injuries was horrific. He had a fractured eye socket, fractured nose and a bulging disc in his neck. His injuries required significant treatment, which is still ongoing and has left him with shoulder pain, numbness in his fingers and impaired vision in the right eye.

Due to his extensive injuries, he required treatment away from home in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. He was unable to continue working comfortably and required time off work unpaid. A family member lodged a nomination to request Jared be considered as a recipient of Rally for a Cause.

“The process was so easy, they contacted me within a week and within a couple of days they were paying for fuel and groceries. Rally for a Cause gave me the ability to heal. The worry of paying bills whilst not working went away, providing space and time for me to take care of myself. I can’t thank them enough, what they do is amazing.” -Jared

Jared’s determination to continue to recover and strive to be the best version of himself post-accident is inspiring. His days are harder now and this unfortunate incident, changed his life. It is humbling to watch him smile, talk about helping others and continuing to be a valued member of our community.
