There is no question that life these days is fast paced, many are time poor just keeping up, especially those with young children to nurture and educate by example. And whilst learning at a young age is taken for granted, there are great benefits to ‘never stop learning’.
It’s really all about having a sense of achievement, a purpose. It’s about improving your ability to cope with difficult situations and enhancing your resilience. Simply put, learning in later life is the key to leading a full and active life for as long as you can.
Albert Einstein is reported to have stated, ‘Once you stop learning, you start dying’. He also stated that ‘education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think.’
Proverbs 18:15 (The Message) states ‘Wise men and women are always learning, always listening for fresh insights’. I am seriously enjoying reading and studying the whole of the Bible, through both the old and new testaments … So much wisdom! It means prioritising screen time so that Facebook and Instagram scrolling is now replaced by Bible apps.
